Kenyan-Australian founder Minesh Hirani built Kamili (“perfection” in Swahili) on family ties to the tea-farming hills of Nandi. The company imports pesticide-free leaf direct from a small network of growers—celebrated locally as “the land of marathon runners”—and hand-packs its Big Five range (Pride Black, Glorious Green, White Rhino, Tropical Purple and Mighty Chamomile) in Sydney. Every batch is tasted by independent tea masters, and a share of profits cycles back into farmer housing and community projects first begun by Hirani’s father in the 1990s.
