Named after the tiny mountain hamlet whose families have tended tea since Dutch colonial times, Pasir Canar Kp. is equal parts community co-op and cultural project. Members grow old-tree Camellia on steep terraces above 1 400 m, hand-rolling a honey-sweet oolong that headlines the annual “Kenduri Teh” harvest festival. Profits cycle back into village water pipes and a women-run nursery that propagates heirloom tea clones.
